The following is a snapshot of our story so far……

Once upon a time, 1982 to be exact, a man named Vic aged 59, bought a marquee and set up VSJ Marquee Hire, based in the inner London area. He worked until he was 74 after which time, in 1997, Pam (Vic’s daughter) and Pete (Pam’s husband) took over the business, extended it and offered the marquee hire service out further afield  into South East England and to both the private and corporate client.  This is still the case today, however now based in the London Borough of Bexley, we are delighted to be able to offer marquee hire all over London, the Home Counties; Kent, Essex, Sussex, Surrey, Middlesex.

Over this time Ab Fab London Events has worked with people from all walks of life, offering marquee hire for weddings to wakes, BBQs to balls and fun days to festive events.  The company has always remained a family business and they feel very fortunate to have retained their medium size and excellent reputation.

And now to the present day…..

The photographs that you will see throughout our entire site are images taken from events that we have had the pleasure of being a part of and often our clients have added their own touches to the finished creation.   Whilst you are browsing our site please take some time to read our testimonials.  We hope these will give you a feel for our company, an idea of what we are about and the service we can offer.

What happens next….

When you make an enquiry with us we discuss your marquee hire requirements initially and then arrange a site visit in order to meet with you and carry out a site survey.  This site visit carries no cost or obligation.  Our consultation is not a sales pitch, the company sells itself and you can be assured that there is no pressure.  We then prepare a competitive quotation for you along with an event proposal.  This is designed to reflect your requirements and budget and can also provoke possible further ideas and discussion.

One thing we hear often when discussing wedding arrangements and subsequently hen nights is that the traditional hen night/event doesn’t always cater for younger or older ladies who otherwise would love to be involved- nightclubs are not always somewhere that a more mature lady would feel at ease and that type of venue doesn’t allow for children either.  Not all restaurants lend themselves to babies and young children and that too can mean that some of your celebrators are excluded.

So….. why not have a marquee set up for a fab girly hen do??!! This way all the friends and family you want to help you celebrate can do so no matter what their age! You can have the marquee as party-ish as you wish and maybe have a dance floor and lights or keep it much more low key, or even have a theme?  With a marquee, the choice really is yours and you can tailor it to suit your needs!!
